galleria fontana: to say that i am a self-taught artist would be to ignore the amazing work of all the other artists who are and have been in the world. painting is my life and i paint every day, often all day...and often into the night. i'm fascinated by color and texture and until i'm satisfied with the interest level (a phrase that speaks volumes to me) in both of these components, a painting is unfinished. my home is in cohutta in the north georgia woods and my nearly 360º view of those woods is where i produce my art. cohutta is about 45 minutes from chattanooga, tennessee, where some of my work can be seen at in-town gallery at 26 frazier avenue. a bit of extra fun that i allow myself is to paint one small, inexpensive painting a day. these can be seen on http://pfontana.blogspot.com. for more information about any of my work, please contact me at galleriafontana[AT]windstream[DOT]net.
